Under 2’s
Our non-mobile babies benefit from a large, bright, open plan day room. This room promotes a stimulating environment, whilst remaining calm and nurturing for our littlest children. A cosy black and white area enhances babies sight and focus, with the bubble gym and pull up bar encouraging crawling and standing.
As babies spend a lot of time sleeping at this early age, so we provide a dedicated sleep room to ensure they get high quality sleep. We constantly monitor the room temperature in the day nursery to ensure the babies are comfortable at all times. Our well equipped sensory room stimulates their senses and encourages development, through light, sounds and textures.
There will never be more than three babies to any one member of staff, so you can be assured that your little one will get the essential attention they need at this stage in their life. Your child’s key person will take care of all their personal needs whenever possible and will build a special bond with you and your child.
Teenies
Our mobile babies enter this room as they start to waddle and this room has resources selected purposefully to encourage their gross motor skills. The climb and crawl bridge enables the babies to practice and perfect standing, walking and balance, whilst beginning to master a few stairs. A large selection of engaging push and pull toys and a small kitchen and baby area, introduces the children to their first experience of role play.
Feeding time in teenies becomes a social activity with the children sat around a table, specifically designed for a practitioner to sit in the middle and encourage self-feeding. As with the baby room there with never be more than three babies with one member of staff.
Toddlers (2-3 years)

The room focuses on the primary areas of the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ framework and promotes learning through play experiences. The cosy corner ensures the children can have a quiet area to sit and listen to stories, whilst the home corner offers that all important role play that toddlers love. The mark making area encourages your toddler to practice their fine motor move-ments through painting and drawing on large paper. Our investigation area delivers the early opportunity to explore numbers, shapes and puzzles.
Toddlers also benefit from a staffing ratio of one member of staff looking after no more than four children . As this is the time when the majority of children start toilet training, the room has been designed with bright and colourful toilets, to make this important development stage as easy and comfortable as possible and promote ear-ly independence.
